Tata Green Batteries in India

TATA Green Batteries are manufactured under the brand of TATA AutoComp GY Batteries, which is a joint venture between the TATA AutoComp Systems and the Japanese company, GS Yuasa International- the world's no.1 battery manufacturer. These batteries combine the expertise of TATA AutoComp's experience in the Automotive Industry and GS Yuasa International's superior Japanese technological knowledge.

This joint venture was started in 2005 and has an aim to be the third largest battery brand in India by 2025-26 which goes onto show the commitment from the brand. The batteries from the brand are 90% recyclable, have the highest cranking power and can run upto 1,00,000kms without top-up. The company plans to adopt the Expanded Grid Technology soon, which will help in development of Idle Start Stop Batteries while it will also offer lithium-ion technology batteries in the Indian market.
